Bad girls come in all shapes and sizes. Forget the trends, instead, follow these tips and look your most decadent.
If you have a nice, big rack, try items that elongate your body. Otherwise, you’ll look as if you could topple over any second. When going for heavy cleavage, balance it with a longer skirt, perhaps an A-line; avoid short skirts, especially if they have ruffles and pleats—you might look out of proportion. Halter tops, provided they come with proper support, look damn fine on you. Oh, and if you want to minimize or look more proportioned, go for tops in darker colors.
It sucked being the girl that all the boys called “ditches” in junior high—boobs so non-existent that your chest appeared concave. But, you’re kinda lucky now because most clothes look better on women with more delicate chests. When you want to play up your chest, opt for tops with embellished necklines. Burn the bra and wear all the cute, little tops that bigger-breasted girls wish they could wear.
A short-waisted woman can long for a torso, so like her bustier sister, go for looks that elongate. A short dress with high boots or a long dress with detailing around the waist is worth considering. Resist the urge to wear shapeless dresses and suits—the result is boxy, not foxy. Big belts are cool to add with the long shirts or short dresses or you can tie a pretty ribbon around your waist.
You will become the master of disguise! Simply buy tops and dresses with a raised or lowered waistline. Fabric and color contrasts are also great for you.
“If I could just be 5'4", life would be perfect!” Yeah, shortstacks, we feel your pain. To look taller, try leggings and skirts that hit just below the knee or long dresses in a solid color with, say, a long scarf in a contrasting color draped around your neck. Long accessories are key—long scarves, long necklaces. Skirts should be longer than they are wide. Heels, of course, are helpful, and match your stockings and shoes to skirts and pants. Leave jackets and blazers open to enhance vertical lines. Be careful of big belts—they can visually cut you in half. Avoid cutesy styles, unless you want to look like a baby doll. To unlock your wanton sex goddess, go for more sophisticated styles. Also, opt for prints in smaller scales that won’t overpower your size.
We know, we know, coat shopping is a nightmare for you. While you may always have trouble there, when shopping for shirts, consider 3⁄4 length sleeves. Accessorize with shawls or cardigans. If your arms carry a little extra love, look for a split sleeve.
It is your duty to please that booty with looks that make it tempting to spank. Light top and darker bottoms will help. Embrace your curves—try a long skirt with corset lacing up the back or hip-huggers with a open-hemmed, floaty shirt. When choosing a dress, look for one that hugs your bosom and flows freely over your hips. A plunging neckline will always distract from what lies beneath, as well. If you are wearing something fitted, stick with a solid color and keep the line long and wear fitted jackets that rest high above your widest point. Form-fitting? Yes! Clingy fabric? No!
Remember what the band Queen said about plus-size sistas? They make the rockin' world go ’round. You are going to want layers that add texture and color contrasts. Try dresses with tiers of fabric. Oversize prints will also work well with your figure. High heels will make you look slimmer, too. Monochromatic outfits with tops that cover the hips are thumbs-up. Sexy it up with racier camis. Big, square shoulder or clutch bags will also help even you out.
“I’m surprised that dress looks good on you because your shoulders are so wide.” Um, thanks. If you shoulder a shoulder complex, clothes that will balance you out are A-line skirts or tops that flair a bit at the waist. Avoid puffy sleeves or big, breezy tops, especially with slim-fit trousers.
